Uzbekistan's population density reaches 82 people per square kilometer
Tashkent, April 15 -- According to the Statistics Agency, as of January 1, 2024, the average population density in Uzbekistan was 82 people per square kilometer, which increased by 1.8 people compared to the previous year's figure of 80.2 people per square kilometer as of January 1, 2023.
As of January 1, 2024, the permanent population of Uzbekistan is 36.8 million people, with 18,768.5 thousand people living in urban areas and 18,031.3 thousand people in rural areas.
