Five minor students injured after their school bus was hit by a govt bus at Kankurgachi

Kolkata, Jan. 16 -- Five minor students were today injured seriously when their bus on way to Delhi Public School (DPS) was hit by a state government bus near railway bridge at Kakurgachi in the eastern part of the city, Traffic Police said.

The injured students have been taken to a private hospital on EM Bypass while other surviving students, mostly minors, have been evacuated by the policemen.

The unhurt students were taken to their destination.

The accident happened at around 0700 hours when the DPS bus was moving towards the school near Ruby More on EM Bypass and the government bus, which was returning from Ganga Sagar Mela, hit the private bus from the front, eye witnesses said.
