Manila, Jan. 17 -- Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go on Thursday refused to receive a National Youth Commission (NYC) resolution recognizing his significant contribution to youth development.

The former presidential aide said just like President Rodrigo Duterte, he is not keen on receiving commendations as they are only doing their job as government workers.

He, however, thanked the NYC for the recognition, citing it as an inspiration to serve more especially for the welfare of the Filipino youth.

The NYC earlier released Resolution No. 44, sponsored by Commissioner Victor del Rosario and adopted on Sept. 25, 2018, which cited Go's numerous initiatives that benefited the youth.
