New Delhi, Jan. 10 -- A two-week budget session is likely to begin on January 31, during which vote-on-account will be presented on February 1, government sources said after the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs headed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh decided on the dates.

Once the Rajya Sabha is adjourned frequently and the Cabinet panel recommends discontinuation of the winter session, a formal recommendation in this regard would be sent to the Rashtrapati Bhawan. President Ram Nath Kovind will be addressing the joint sitting of the two Houses on January 31 and the Economic Survey may also be presented the same day.
