Mumbai, Jan. 17 -- Kriti Sanon completes half a decade in the industry this year. Five years ago, she signed her debut film, Heropanti, and there has been no looking back ever since for this Delhi girl. Even though she can't pick her best memory, she feels signing her first film was a dream-cometrue moment for her. "I remember auditioning for Heropanti. I did a look test with Tiger Shroff. That's when I met him and the team. Sabbir (Khan; director) sir asked me to join him to meet Sajid (Nadiadwala; filmmaker) sir. I took it casually because I'd just auditioned. Soon after, I learnt I was doing the film. It was something I was not prepared for. I remember making a call to my parents when I bagged it. It was an overwhelming moment," says Kriti. The actor says it has been a fulfilling experience to bag the opportunities that she did. Every film had a special journey of its own, Kriti feels, and she says she learned everything on the job. "I don't have a theatre background. But I've done a lot of workshops before I came to this industry. I always went with my gut feeling that I could act. Most of my learning has been on the sets. There is a lot of hunger in me as an actor and I want to explore a lot. Coming from a nonfilmy background, for a middleclass girl who never thought of becoming an actor until graduation, it is a big thing. Today, where I am isn't where I had exactly planned to be. Sometimes, life has its way of taking you to your goal. Not many people who don't have a filmy background get these opportunities. I want to make the most of it. When I look back from where I started, I feel I've grown as a person and as an actor. That is most important," says the Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) actor. Kriti has four films in 2019, the first time that she has had multiple projects in a year. And one of the films, Housefull 4, is again helmed by the same producer, Sajid. "Since I started my career with his project...to be working with him again, it has sort of come a full circle," says the actor. Kriti admits she is more excited than nervous for 2019. "All four films will have a different version of me. So, it only excites you as an actor because you know your fans are going to get to see a lot more of you this year. It will be fun to see how people react," she adds....
