Pakistan, Jan. 17 -- The national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has been flying low, in murky skies plagued with huge losses, dense policies, corruption, over-staffing and non-professionalism for decades. Over the years, it has failed to take off and land confidently and successfully with the induction of a new top boss. The new management of the PIA, under Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Air Marshal Arshad Mahmood, is, however, optimistic about turnaround in the airline with a five-year strategic business plan and some short-term measures.
