Tashkent, April 22 -- On the margins of the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) meetings in Washington, DC, WB Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Antonella Bassani discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov support for the Uzbek government's efforts to implement market reforms and its strategies to respond to the effects of climate change.

The preferential loan should help employ about 9,000 young people from rural and remote areas of Uzbekistan, including 4,500 women and 360 persons with disabilities, in information technology-related services (ITES-services).
