Tashkent, March 18 -- In the first two months of 2024, Uzbekistan conducted over 4,000 tax audits, affecting 0.8% of the total 566.9 thousand businesses in the country. These audits resulted in the identification of additional tax liabilities amounting to 1.5 trillion soums.

The additional taxes primarily comprised VAT, profit tax, JSHODS, AOS, and other taxes and fees. The sectors with the largest discrepancies were catering and trade, production, construction, transport, and agriculture.
