Tashkent, May 9 -- In Uzbekistan, there are 112 Second World War veterans, which is a decrease from 174 a year ago. Most of them, 42 veterans, reside in Tashkent, while only 1 person lives in Syrdarya region. The distribution of veterans across different regions is as follows: Tashkent city - 42, Tashkent region - 16, Fergana region - 9, Kashkadarya region - 8, Bukhara region - 6, Andijan region - 5, Khorezm region - 5, Namangan region - 4, Navoi region - 4, Samarkand region - 4, Surkhandarya region - 3, Jizzakh region - 3, Republic of Karakalpakstan - 2, and Syrdarya region - 1.

Apart from the Second World War veterans, Uzbekistan is home to 5,271 labor veterans.
