Tashkent, April 23 -- The Culture and Art Development Fund of Uzbekistan initiated the recognition of 21 buildings as modernist heritage sites, which have now been officially listed as national cultural heritage objects.

On April 22, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers passed Decision No. 227, amending the national list of tangible cultural heritage objects. This decision involved adding 10 new objects to the list, including the State Art Museum, "Uzbekistan" and "Shodlik" hotels, "Cosmonauts" metro station, and the Palace of Aviation Manufacturers, as well as changing the status of 11 existing objects.

Additionally, the Foundation is preparing a nomination to include these modernist buildings in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
