Tashkent, April 5 -- Uzbekistan's national football team has climbed two spots in the latest FIFA rankings to reach 64th place. They now have almost 1,400 points. In the Asian rankings, Uzbekistan remains in 8th place.

During the period from February 15 to April 4, the team played only two matches in the second qualifying round for the World Cup-2026 against Hong Kong, winning 0-2 and 3-0. As a result, they advanced to the third qualifying round. Next, they will face Turkmenistan and Iran in June.
