Tashkent, March 28 -- Tashkent will host a "Car-Free Day" on Friday, March 29. It was announced by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of Uzbekistan. According to a presidential decree from February, government officials must use public transportation for their commute on this day.

The purpose of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle, raise awareness about environmental protection, reduce city traffic, and enhance public transport. The Ministry urges everyone to participate and choose eco-friendly modes of transportation such as public transport or bicycles.
