Tashkent, April 13 -- In the first quarter of 2024, 318 citizens of Uzbekistan were prosecuted for sexual harassment, the press service of the Supreme Court reported.

According to the body, under Article 41-1 (sexual harassment) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, 97 citizens were fined and 221 were arrested.

In addition, under Article 141-3 (disclosure of information that violates the honor and dignity of a person and reflects the intimate aspects of human life) of the Criminal Code, 40 people were convicted. Of these, 13 were sentenced to imprisonment and 27 to non-custodial penalties.
