Tashkent, April 19 -- Demand for cars in Uzbekistan continues to decline, according to a report by the Center for Economic Research and Reform. In March, the Road Traffic Safety offices registered and re-registered under 109,000 cars - 5.8% less than a month earlier.

Passenger car sales experienced a 12% decline in February and nearly a 13% decrease compared to the previous March, reaching a total of 96.5 thousand units.

Throughout the first quarter, the country witnessed the sale of 334.3 thousand passenger cars, which reflects a 3.2% decrease compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. The most significant drop in sales was observed in the Surkhandarya, Fergana, and Navoi regions.
