U.S, March 28 -- In a landmark move, the Czech railway operator RegioJet successfully executed its inaugural trip on the Prague-Chop route, marking a significant expansion of its services into Ukraine.

According to the railway operator's press service, the overnight train departed from Prague with 120 passengers onboard and arrived punctually at the Chop station at 10:35 Kyiv time on Thursday.

This expansion comes as part of RegioJet's strategic initiative, with the introduction of a second line to Ukraine via Slovakia to Chop, complementing the existing route through the Polish city of Przemysl.
