Srinagar, April 29 -- Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami on Monday threatened to approach the court if the elections to the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat are not held on schedule.

"In my opinion it would be injustice if the election in Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat was deferred," Tarigami told media persons in Srinagar on Monday.

Tarigami was referring to demand made by some parties who approached the Election Commission of India seeking postponement of elections on account of difficulties in campaigning due to the closure of the Mughal Road.

The poll panel sought a report from the J&K authorities on the weather and accessibility related constraints which they have already submitted.
