Washington, March 29 -- US government officials are exploring options for funding a multinational or Palestinian-led force to "stabilise" Gaza once the Israeli invasion is over, Politico reported, citing White House and Pentagon officials.

The talks include the White House, the Department of Defense, and the Department of State on the US side, as well as their foreign counterparts, the report said.

"We are working with partners on various scenarios for interim governance and security structures in Gaza once the crisis recedes," a senior White House official said.
