Prayagraj, April 20 -- Girls have once again outshined boys in the examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Council of Secondary Education (UP Board), considered to be one of the biggest boards in Asia in terms of students, whose results were announced on Saturday.

While in the high school exam, Prachi Nigam of Sitapur has topped by securing 98.50 percent marks, Shubham Verma of Sitapur has stood first with 97.80 percent marks in intermediate (class 12th). Both are students of Sitabal VMIC Mahmudabad.

The percentage of candidates passing the high school examination of the board was 89.55 percent, whereas in the intermediate examination, 82.60 percent of candidates were declared successful.
