Kolkata, May 9 -- The Trinamool Congress on Thursday complained to the Election Commission of India (ECI) against the BJP and its leaders for "terrorising the general public with a false narrative of hostility", including "rape" being committed against the women in West Bengal's Sandeshkhali.
The letter specifically named the state Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari as being among the BJP leaers involved in spreading the "false narrative of Sandeshkhali" to "malign the AITC."
The complaint accused the BJP of "engaging in corrupt practices and attempting to manipulate the political landscape of West Bengal through unethical means."
