Mumbai, April 24 -- The BSE Sensex remained firm for the fourth straight session on Wednesday, surging 261 points at 74,000 in opening session as buying was seen across board amid positive Asian Market. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 70.30 points to 22,438.30. The NSE registered days high and low at 22,444.60 and 22,399.85 points respectively. The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 73,402 and 73,861.91 points respectively. The Mid cap gained 0.58 per cent and Small Cap 0.78 per cent. In 30 scrips, 25 advanced while 5 declined. The gainers were JSW Steel by 1.26 per cent to Rs 862.05; Nestle India Ltd by 1.23 per cent to Rs 2,530.30; Tata Steel by 1.12 per cent to Rs 162.90 and Ultracemco by 0.88 per cent to Rs 9,620. The...
