Shimla, Feb. 8 -- Kickstarting the process for the notification of candidates, the notification was issued for polls to a Rajya Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.
According to the schedule issued by the state Assembly secretariat here, the polling would be held on February 27.
The nomination papers would be admitted till February 15.
Scrutiny will be done on February 16, and the candidates can withdraw their nomination before 3 pm on February 20.
If necessary, voting would take place on February 27, between 9 am and 4 pm.
The tenure of the sitting RS member from the state BJP president J.P.Nadda is ending this April.
Out of the 68 member assembly the INC has 40 MLAs . On the other hand opposition BJP has 26 MLAs in the house....
