Shillong, April 28 -- The Expert Committee on the State Reservation Policy, Meghalaya, has decided to hold public hearings and seek suggestions on the policy in the capital and all the district headquarters of the state, an official said on Sunday.

The Committee headed by Justice Mool Chand Garg held its second physical meeting here in the state capital on Saturday and also decided that a public notice will also be issued soon to seek consultations, suggestions, and comments on the reservation policy.

The terms of reference of the expert committee are to study the current reservation policy and recommend modifications if necessary, to undertake wide-ranging consultations with all stakeholders, and to visit various locations in the state...
