Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Feb. 11 -- Maharashtra Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil said on Sunday that the government is positive about solving problems of talathis (revenue official).
Speaking after inaugurating state-level convention of Talathi Association here, he said that talathis are
representatives of the government at the village-level who come to aid of people in the event of various calamities and assured that the government is positive about solving their problems.
He further said that the employees belonging to Talathi cadre who have served for 10 consecutive years will be promoted to senior position.
Also, efforts are being made at the government level to hike the grade pay of talathis, the minister informed.
