Agartala, March 3 -- The opposition Congress on Sunday demanded an impartial inquiry into the finances of TSECL, which has registered a huge amount of debt and a series of corruptions over the past five years.

The party president, Ashis Kumar Saha, alleged that TSECL had been a profit-making state PSU before the BJP-led government came to power in 2018. Soon after the appointment of the Managing Director of TSECL from Maharashtra, M. S. Kele, TSECL turned into a hub of corruption.
