Kolkata, April 27 -- The three Lok Sabha constituencies of Darjeeling, Balurghat and Raiganj in North Bengal, which went to second phase polling on Friday, registered 75.5 per cent turnout. The first phase polling on April 19 in Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha constituencies recorded 82 per cent turnout. According to ECI sources, while Darjeeling accounted for 71.89 per cent polling, Raiganj registered 76.18 per cent and Balurghat 79.09 per cent. Barring an incident involving BJP State President Sukanta Majumdar, the second phase election in Bengal passed off peacefully. UNI PC SJC KK
