Dhaka, May 8 -- Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday said fear about election has engulfed BNP and the party is getting smaller with continuous election boycott.

"It has become a rule now that you cannot take part in elections if you do BNP's politics. My question to BNP leaders is how long they will do BNP's politics which does not allow them to take part in any election. That appears to be a big question," he told reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Referring to BNP's boycott of upazila, union parishad and parliament elections, the joint general secretary of Awam I League said it is a suicidal path that BNP has been following.
