Magura, Feb. 11 -- A college student was killed and two others were injured in a collision between a truck and a motorbike in Sadar upazila of Magura on Saturday night.

The deceased was Abir Hasan Arko, 18, an HSC second year student of a local college and son of Lemon Sheikh of Parnanduali village under the Sadar upazila while his injured friends are Mobin, 22, and Jubayer, 19.

Magura Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Mehedi Hasan said the accident occurred 10:30 pm when the truck crashed into the bike coming from the opposite direction on Magura-Jhenaidah Highway in Kashinathpur Chara Bouttala area, leaving Abir dead on the spot and the two injured.
