India, April 6 -- Japan's work visa programme expands, as the nation plans to welcome up to 820,000 foreigners in the upcoming years. The government's recent amendments to the foreign skilled worker visa programme have made the country more accessible for working professionals in four new industries.

The Specified Skiller Worker No. 1 visa to 16 will now also be applicable for industries like road and railway transportation, forestry and timber sectors, giving foreign skilled workers of these sectors the opportunity to work in Japan.
