India, April 6 -- The Delhi High Court has issued notices to several YouTube channels and social media handles based on a plea filed by senior advocate and BJP Leader Gaurav Bhatia, alleging defamatory statements against him concerning an incident at a Noida court where he was reportedly manhandled.

Justice Neena Bansal Krishna declined to issue an ex-parte order without hearing the other parties involved in the matter. The high court issued notices to 13 defendant YouTube channels and X handles regarding the application for interim relief to remove the offending content.

It also issued summons for the defamation suit and scheduled the hearing for April 8.
