Dhaka, April 29 -- A female voter named Shahnaz Begum (25) has been sentenced by mobile court to six months imprisonment for attempting to cast vote for the second time in Sadar union parishad election of Patuakhali district.
The incident took place at West Viala Government Primary School Center of Bhuria Union Parishad of Sadar Upazila on Sunday around 1 pm.
Confirming the matter,Executive Magistrate Mizanur Rahman said that the candidate's agents got suspicious when she entered polling booth wearing burqa for the second time at around 12:30 noon.
After challenged, she admitted that came to vote center for casting vote in second time.
She was sentenced to six months' imprisonment without labor by mobile court as per section 171 of 1860...
