Dhaka, May 4 -- The price of daily essentials like broiler, onion, potato and vegetables still remain high in the capital's kitchen market putting limited income group people in pressure.
There are no vegetables except potol (pointed gourd) and ladies fingers are being sold under Tk80.
Potato and onion prices have increased by Tk8-Tk10 at both wholesale and retail levels.
The retail price of potatoes is Tk55-Tk60 per kilogram, and of onions Tk70 -Tk75 in Dhaka markets, including Karwan Bazar, Mogbazar, BUET market, New Market, Hatirpool and Kalyanpur kitchen markets.
