Dhaka, May 5 -- At least 12 people, including four in Noakhali, were killed and many others injured in several road crashes across the county on Saturday.
In Noakhali, at least four people, including army personnel, were killed when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw fell into a roadside canal after being hit by a truck at Begumganj upazila on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred at Chandraganj Purba Bazar on the Noakhali-Lakshmipur regional highway of the upazila.
The deceased have been identified as Rahmat Ullah Bhuiyan, 65, army personnel Fazlul Karim, 50, and Alauddin, 45, hailed from Lakshipur district.
The identity of the other person could not be known instantly.
