Srinagar, April 30 -- The decision to upgrade the foot bridge and construct the vehicular overpasses had come in response to the growing volume of traffic over Abdullah Bridge, which serves as a crucial transportation link for more than half of Srinagar. The bridge has been operating beyond its capacity, resulting in frequent traffic jams that adversely affect daily commuting for residents and commuters.
