Srinagar, March 10 -- The Department of Floriculture has taken a significant step to enhance the tourism appeal of Asia's largest Tulip Garden by introducing five new tulip varieties this year and expanding the garden's area, according to a statement from the DIPR.

The Tulip Garden, open for around one month, features tulips with a lifespan of 15-17 days. Commissioner Secretary of Floriculture, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, highlighted the department's commitment to enhancing the garden's allure for tourists worldwide during a meeting at the Civil Secretariat. He emphasized the addition of five new tulip varieties, bringing the total count to 73.
