New Delhi, Feb. 16 -- The Tripura government has started selling dairy products at several fair-price shops in the state capital.

In his address at the launch event on Friday, Chief Minister DrManik Sahasaid his government would provide dairy products - ghee, curd, paneer, and ice cream - in 15 fair-price shops in Agartala on a pilot basis.

The dairy products would be procured from the government-run Gomati Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Limited, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said at the event. The government plans to increase the number of ration shops selling dairy products based on feedback from consumers.
