Tanzania, May 6 -- Dar es Salaam TotalEnergies has opened another round of startup challenge which seeks to award 100 entrepreneurs from across Africa.

This year's edition which involves 32 African countries where the company operates, is treated "special" as the company celebrates 100th anniversary, the company said in a statement.

The challenge dubbed "Startupper of the Year by TotalEnergies" is entering the fourth edition after successful events in the past years.

"This new edition kicking off today reaffirms TotalEnergies' commitment to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship and supporting the socio-economic development of African countries in which the company is present," the firm said in a statement.
