New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- Security forces in Kashmir are on high alert as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu on February 20. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Range, VK Birdi, led a meeting with top security officials to review and strengthen security arrangements for the upcoming visit.

PM Modi is expected to inaugurate and lay the foundation of various projects while addressing a public rally on the same day. In light of the recent incidents, including the killing of two non-locals from Punjab in Srinagar earlier this month, the IGP emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, particularly during night hours, to mitigate the risk of terrorist threats.
