Bhubaneswar, April 28 -- The Congress party today announced its candidates for eight Assembly and two Lok Sabha segments in Odisha for 2024 polls.

The party has fielded veteran leader Suresh Mohapatra from Cuttack Lok Sabha seat. The Congress also changed its candidate for Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat.

As per the fresh AICC notification, Nagendra Pradhan will be the Congress candidate for Sambalpur seat in the place of Dulal Chandra Pradhan.

The party has picked MLA Mohammed Moquim's daughter Sofia Firdous to fight the Assembly polls from Barabati-Cuttack seat.
