KATHMANDU, April 24 -- The Patan High Court has issued a short-term interim order to halt any process related to the selection of the chief executive officer (CEO) of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

The court ordered that the nomination of Milan Devkota and Madan Kumar Acharya, the members of the sub-committee formed to select the vacant CEO appointment in the NTB, and the members of the NTB's board of directors are illegal and the selection sub-committee itself is also illegal.

A single bench of Patan High Court Judge Sudarshan Raj Pandey issued the short-term interim order on April 22.
