JAGATSINGHPUR, Feb. 11 -- The POCSO Court in Jagatsinghpur sentenced a youth to undergo 10 years of imprisonment and pay a fine of Rs 20,000 on the charge of sexually abusing and molesting a minor.
The accused, identified as Gyana Ranjan Das, hailing from Posala village under Tirtol block, had allegedly sexually abused a 10-year-old minor girl while she was guarding a vegetable garden on March 12, 2022. The minor girl's parents had lodged an FIR in Tirtol police station subsequently and police had arrested the accused youth and forwarded him to court.
