KEONJHAR, March 28 -- : Tension mounted in Joda police station area of Keonjhar district following mysterious death of an accused in police custody. The deceased was identified as Dinesh Naik of Birikala village under Joda police station of Keonjhar district.
The incident took place on Tuesday. After the death the police allegedly detained the father of the deceased. According to the sources, Dinesh was picked up by the police upon a complaint against him. Suddenly, Dinesh fell ill and his health deteriorated. Police took him to Joda Tisco Hospital for treatment, where the doctor declared him dead. Upon the suspicious death of Dinesh, a post mortem was conducted in presence of a Magistrate, sources said.
