ANGUL, Feb. 11 -- The INTUC State unit staged a dharna at Banarpal Chhak of Angul district on Saturday against the negligence of both State and Central Governments towards the interests of people of the district.
The agitating INTUC leaders under the leadership of its State president Dr RC Khuntia demanded immediate completion of the renovation work of NH-55 and NH-53, appropriate measures to control the air and water pollution, filling up of vacancies of Public Sector companies by recruiting local land displaced persons, expansion of Nalco Smelter and Power Plant, health insurance, social security and payment of minimum wages to Pachika, Anganwadi, health workers and domestic workers, settlement of dues to the retrenched workers of Talche...
