SONEPUR, Feb. 11 -- An elderly woman was found dead in a well at Hilunga village under the Birmaharajpur police station in Subarnapur district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Sobha Bhoi (60) of the village.
As per reports, she had gone missing on Friday evening. Though her family members searched for her frantically at various places, they failed to trace her whereabouts.
In the morning, some locals spotted the body floating in the well and informed her family members. Later, police and Fire Services personnel reached the spot and recovered the body from the well.
It was being suspected that the woman was killed and then thrown into the well as the body bore cut mark on neck. Police have started investigation into the matter...
