Ranchi, Feb. 9 -- Chief Minister Champai Soren today thoroughly reviewed the progress of the schemes run by the Mining and Geology Department in the Ministry of Jharkhand. The CM said that the mining department is considered a main source of revenue. He directed the officials that those mining blocks which have already been auctioned or allotted should be started as soon as possible. He asked officers to hold a meeting with the company or institution to which the responsibility of mining work has been allotted and get the mining work started soon.
