Bhubaneswar, March 14 -- What if we tell you that men are more vulnerable to kidney diseases than women? Females are known to be more resilient to kidney disease and injury, compared to males. A team at the University of Southern California found not only how sex hormones drive differences in male and female mouse kidneys, but also how lowering testosterone can "feminise" this organ and improve its resilience.
