Bhubaneswar, April 20 -- The Odisha government on Friday confirmed that one person has so far died of sunstroke this season. Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra informed that the sole sunstroke casualty has been reported from Balasore district. A total of 71 cases of heat-related illness have been reported from different parts of Odisha owing to heat wave to severe heat wave condition that is currently prevailing in the state. According to Mishra, the highest 35 cases of heat-related illness have been reported from Sundargarh district, 7 each from Mayurbhanj and Angul.
