Bhubaneswar, April 25 -- Three places in Odisha- Bhubaneswar, Balasore and Chandbali on Thursday recorded maximum temperature over 40 degrees Celsius even before noon. However, the Capital city was the hottest as it recorded a maximum day temperature of 41.1 degrees by 11:30 am.

Similarly, Balasore and Chandbali each recorded maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius. As per latest IMD data, two places in Odisha, Jharsuguda and Hirakud, recorded maximum temperature of 40.4 and 40.2 degrees, respectively by 11:30 am.

IMD officials informed that the mercury was also nearing the 40 degree mark in two other places- Keonjhar (39.6) and Sambalpur (39) by 11:30 am today. There is every possibility that more places in Odisha will record maximum ...
