Bhubaneswar, April 20 -- In a tragic mishap, at least seven people died and one is still missing after a boat carrying about 50 people capsized in the Mahanadi River in Jharsuguda on Friday. With the joint effort of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force and fire service personnel, all the seven bodies have been identified by the administration. However, rescue operations are still underway to trace the missing woman. As per reports, there is a temple on an islet in the middle of the river. About 50 people including children and women from Kharsia area in neighbouring Chhattisgarh state had gone to the temple from Saradha ghat under Lakhanpur block of Jharsuguda district.
