Bhubaneswar, Feb. 10 -- Becoming an IAS officer is a dream of thousands of UPSC aspirants. However, IAS Mudra Gairola is quite different from other aspirant. She not only left her medical studies, but also quit her IPS job to fulfill her father's dream to see her as an IAS officer.

Hailing from Karnprayag in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, Mudra Gairola excelled in her studies. She was a bright student and secured 96% in the board exam and 97% in Class XII. Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi had given her an award in school.
