Bhubaneswar, March 28 -- Bolangir police seized fake currency notes worth lakhs of rupees at Patnagargh on Thursday.

As many as two accused were arrested in this connection. They have been identified as Baruna Panuan from Bhaisa village under Patnagarh police station and Rohit Bastia from Budhabahal village under Deogaon police station.

As per police sources, the accused were involved in the fake currency notes racket for a long time. Police have seized as many as 274 counterfeit currency notes in the denomination of Rs 500 with a total worth of Rs 1,37,000.
